NC Soldier charged with murder after car/motorcycle crash
#11
As a former 82nd trooper, I remember how bad a problem it was back in the 80's. They would not release us on Friday until we had our "briefing". We were a bunch of animals for sure, drinking, fighting and causing general mayhem.
Anyway, this stuff happens everywhere. If he didn't hit the bike, he could have taken out a carload of citizens. That's 2 experienced troopers permenently out of action.

I am surprised it was 2nd degree murder. I fully, 100%+ support our military, so don't misunderstand me. But I bet if the victim was regular Joe instead of a soldier, he would have been charged with manslaughter, at best.
Now 2 highly trained men are out of our military. Everyone is the loser.
Prayers out to the family of hte deceased.
