Rode up to Grovland today and shut down the bike
When I go to start it it Runs for about 4 seconds then it Shuts down
with Engin light on ? ERROR CODE , do1CLr ,, HELP

 

Whats the bike - don`t know the error code but if it`s a Sporster it will be the relay - happened to me twice.

 

its a 2001 FXST F/I and i just figured out that wasn't the Error Code gunna go out to the Bike and get the correct Error code Now

 

The IM (instrument module) is capable of displaying DTC's (diagnostic trouble codes).
Speedometer Self Diagnostics: The speedometer is capable of displaying and clearing speedometer, tachometer, TSM/TSSM and ICM/ECM Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC).

1- Turn Ignition switch to OFF & Run/Stop switch is to Run.

2- Push odometer reset button in & hold.

3- Turn ignition switch to Ignition and release odometer reset button. Background lighting sould illuminate, speedometer needle should sweep its full range and indicator lamps (battery, security, low fuel, check engine and cruise) should illuminate. The word “diag” should then appear.

I Followed these directions and it didn't work on my Bike or my friends bike

 

Boy, your going to get it from those anti trailer wacks. You really should have pushed it home!!

not sure if it works the same on the older bikes, but i just tried my 2010.

first i pressed and held the odometer reset switch, then turned my ignition on. didn't mess with the run/stop switch at all. the speedo did its sweep and diag displayed in the odometer window.

I just went out and tried your way and I still get, do1CLr
I'm still doin something wrong ,

 

Try pushing the reset button again after you see that.

 

I just went out and Took the Battery cables Off Cleaned Um
Put Um back on tight AND Its Runnin again ,
