Thanks so much for using your very first post on the forum to warn us actual riders of this potential death trap! OMG! I hope you use your second post to fully inform us of the dangers of wearing fingerless gloves and assless chaps.

I'm now going to go outside and loosen my belt, just to make sure it keeps the tranny going a little longer! My October 2009 FXD now has 22,877 on it and I bet it's going to blow up in a week!

Who lets these retards in here anyway? How did 'compressionator' escape from the loony bin in the first place to wander in here?

Spoke to a bunch of guy w/6 speeds (like what I have) not ONE failure.

Sound like a loose nut at the handlebar to me.

well, i did look up part number 8967, it is a roller bearing. $23.00 at zanotti's. so at least he got a good part number in there. but, i can't imagine that you couldn't take that bearing into a bearing supply store and find an aftermarket that would match up.

oh, yeah, i had 39,000 on my 07 when i traded it in, no tranny problems. got 7000 on my 2010, no problems there either.

Harley 6 speed tranny's suck hugh? My 07 RKC has 40K, tranny finaly did stop that anoying 5th gear bird chirp thing after a year using Amsoil. I test drov a 2010 Ultra twice last week. Tranny was tight, quiet and smooth. Think I'll buy one.

Good lord... I got a headache trying to read that. I hope he spends some time learning to type, spell, and properly punctuate.

It's so easy, even a caveman can do it.

I forgot to add.., I've got over 17k on my '08 6-speed, and I've never had a single problem with it. I've got about 20 friends that I frequently ride with, and 9 of them also have '07 or newer bikes with the 6-speed trans. None of them have ever experienced a single problem either.

Yes I heard of this one before. I've read in here that 4or5 that have had trouble....

Maybe it could be how one rides their bike or, lack of Maintenance??.

Me I am Going on 29k and she's getting better each and every K I put on her.

"""update"""",, now at almost 53k miles and still nary had a single issue..
