...You go to the dealer to pick up a couple of items, and leave spending far more than you planed!!!!

So I saved a few $$$ and wanted to go get a few more items I had my eye on, Luggage rack for the sissy bar and a travel bag, the LED fuel gauge and matching Gas Cap, New mirrors, and I'm done. Easy right?

Of course not, I brought the wife (Mistake #1) and they were having a summer sale (Mistake #2, UGH!). Now typically, when your dealer is having a sale, how often do they actually have the parts you want on sale? Never right? WRONG!

I had no intention of buying a detachable winsheild, but at $100 off, how do you say no? New clutch and brake levers that match the other collection items installed, 30% off. Heal resets? Often thought I would want them for longer rides but never paid much attention to it...Oh and wait, the match the rest of the colelction allready installed, you guessed it, on sale....25% off whole kit.

So $500 over budget....the wife tells me but honey you saved $250! Yeah great...LOL Then she went to the clothing section...At elast nothing he r size was on sale ;-)

Well time to get to wrok, I have some parts to install....

 

It gets worst. After spending thousands of dollars on both my bikes for stage 1 and chrome, now I'm thinking about trading in my Road King for a new bike and I'll have to start all over again.

 

hate that when that happens!

 

The only times any dealer sees me is; get in out of rain or time to trade.
I do not associate with them. Whatever I buy, it is online.

 

At least she aint bitchn about the money.

I go to the dealership as little as possible for that very reason. I always drop at least twice as much as I planned on and I don't take the wife.
