Default Instincts are always right

Before getting on my bike this morning to go to work, I couldnt shake an uncomfortable feeling that I needed to be extra vigilent while riding (I am usually excited to go out, rarely nervous). Sure enough, 5 minutes into my ride i could see a car with its hood poking out from a side street. The woman had a clear view and let the 2 cars in front of me pass AND THEN PROCEEDED TO PULL OUT IN FRONT OF ME!! We literally made eye contact as she did it and I thankfully swerved in time to miss her. After collecting myself, i got out on the highway. As I neared my exit, a car 15 yards ahead darts into my lane and then for whatever reason slams on his brakes. This was the first time i have ever locked up my front tire on pavement. I was able to keep the bike up and eventually made it to work but for the first time I was actually was thankful the ride was over. Just another example that when your instincts tell you something, its best to listen!

been there myself. I've even not ridden because of "that" feeling.

I've ignored that feeling and I rolled my car oddly enough my good friend in the car had the same feeling and he ignored it too.
Though, when I got hit on my motorcycle there wasn't a bad feeling but yes my gut feeling is usually dead on.

I've had that feeling before so I know exactly what you're talking about. It's rare for me though. More common is the feeling that there is something not quite right with ME and I realize that I'm not quite on top of my game. It's those times I will either cut a ride short or make myself focus a little harder.

sometimes that instinct becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. i dont ride on those days, just in case.

glad you made it to work, that was a tense commute for sure!

My father didn't ride but, he always had that way of sensing something. I didn't inherit it. Glad you made it ok.

Shoot .. it sounds like a normal everyday ride . j/k

It's always good to pay attention to your inner voice , guardian angel ect.

I have the "ability" somewhat and that's all I'm going to say about that.
