This is exactly why we ladies don't like other women on the back our men's bikes, not to mention the need to hold on tight. Would you want your wife riding behind an old classmate from her past? A little jealousy in a relationship isn't a bad thing. My thinking is don't do anything behind your spouses back that you wouldn't do in front of them, and you'll have a nice long relationship.

Your wife probably would have been ok with it if she was able to ride side saddle but since she had her legs spread wide around your waist thats grounds for an arguement.

 

 

Better buy a solo seat and let her see you install it.

 

Friend of mine just got a new bike, his wife told him there better not be anyone's butt on the back seat but hers. Apparently she refused to ride with him on his previous bike because too many rear ends of other females had been on that seat. The only two females that have been on the back of my bike are my wife and my oldest daughter, don't need another reason for my Mrs. to get mad at me...

 

Yep, wifey and daughter. That's the only ones on my passenger seat. Only other ones that could be are the older daughter and maybe a friend of hers. No females that could possibly pose a threat to the wifey.

 

How far did honesty get you ? Next time don`t say anything.

My take is slightly different. I think your wife is pissed off because she knows that some women are turned on by bikes and guys who ride them. She probably knows that guys are turned on by chicks who want to get on thei back of their bikes and hold on tight. I'm guessing she figures your friend should have known better and didn't care. That's disrespecting the wife. The fact that you didn't tell your friend know is probably being seen as you disrespecting her too.

It will get better after a while. Might be a little painful until it does.
