Review: Throttle Up Industries Touring Stabilizer
Alot of these on the market, how do you tell what works? I bought this because I couldnt find any reviews, nor any derogatory posts. They make an excellent product. The installation is straight forward, materials are well and precisely made and powder coated. I had some trouble getting the piece onto the dogbone. Their instructions, available online should I have been so concientious as to read them, state that the dogbone must be in good condition, unbent. A few minutes with a block of wood and a prybar fixed that. There is essentially no loss of ground clearance, as the dogbone fitting recesses into the dogbone, and the transmission part is above the crossbrace. The only time I have noticed butt weave was in hard corners when I hit a bump while leaned over. This is now gone completely. The bike also tracks better on bad roads. On smooth roads I notice no difference. All of these brace products do the same thing, they just mount up and look different. The Throttle Up part was also the least expensive one I could find. I will update this thread if there is any premature wear, failure, or exceptional longevity to report, but as it stands I highly recommend their product.
