My ACC helmet still has a DOT sticker so i'll use it when i have to. The company may have went under but i still think their helmets are as good as any other halfies out there.

 

Any DOT approved helmet has to have SOME padding , so there will be some thickness . That said I have a helmat that I find pretty small and was told by my dealer that the Daytona is the same or even a bit smaller (but not DOT approved) here in Canada . So I'd say that the Daytona should be pretty good .
