You're saying the wires going to your stock light are white/yellow and orange and the wires coming from your new light are white/blue and green?

My limited knowledge of lighting circuits is that it doesn't matter which wire you hook up to your stock wires and the worst that happen if I'm wrong is a blown fuse. Which would tell you to hook them up the other way.

But maybe someone else has a different take on it.

You got a 50/50 shot at getting it right. Like jimmers said, you might blow a fuse. Go for it.

1 wire is headlamp
1 wire is highbeam
1 wire is common/ground
Put a meter on the stock wires and test the leads, them mark them with some tape as to what they are.
Then put 12 volts to the new light and see what wire do what. Mark them accordingly and the mark them also.
Now just match up your tagged wires to each other.
It's not Rocket Science. Just Voltage (electrons with very little amperage)

Man I hate when that happens..........I used to have it happen all the time rewiring my old Triumphs. Especially the ones running Hunt magnetos, as the wiring was completely changed from stock, along with wiring up that triple-stack diode with a capacitor for when I was idling or at a stop light.

Good Luck with the project S-O2

So I thought I crossed some wires because my high beem indicater stayed on and the low beem was realy dim but it ended up bieng a **** poor china H4 bulb. I installed a sylvania ultrastar and all is well so if you get an after market light and something isnt right try swaping the bulbs. fwiw!
