wish i could fit on a nightster

A lot of it is the foot controls. Doesn't the nighster have mids?
I normally ride a 1200 Sportster with forward controls - I recently test-rode a Road King and felt cramped compared to my Sportster because it not only sat higher but it pushed my knees way up, almost like mid controls.

I'm 6 feet and some change @ 235, spouse is 5.4 and 135 and my stock 06 883R will take us 0-70 mph in no time at all. Best ride? NO, Lacking power? NO. I could upgrade my suspension for a very BT like ride if i wanted. I don't feel cramped and i have mid controls. Bigger is not necessarily better. I used to ride a 83 Yamaha YJ-650 years ago and i think even today it would blow away all Harley's/V-twins on the street. That thing was racy.
I know it would blow the doors off my current ride. It's really not necessary to have a 1200 plus CC bike but the problem is that most fellow American's think bigger is better and they are the ones sporting the 1500CC bikes and cars/trucks that get 15 mpg.. Go to Asia and see how many 125cc bikes get people all over that place lol.. If you like the Nightster buy it. When i look at a Sporty i see a pure motorcycle. When i look at the big twins i see alot of bloat tbh.

Just find an older evo Big Twin, like a 98 or somthing.
You'll get a good price too like under $10 K.
Sportsters generally always go for cheap too though,
as most guys that get them want to trade up.

I love the look he nightsters and the 48. I am6'1" 230# and sat on a 48 and I had to sit all the way back on the passenger part of the seat to fit. It would be fun to see a full size bike that had that "bobber" look of the 48. The only time in my life I wish I was smaller!!

that being said, i think it's the best looking bike out right now and it would be fun to rip around on. if i didnt already have my street bob, i would get the 48.
