I actually managed to pull it off. When I got to the exit for the dealer, I had 998 on the OD, just for fun I road to the next exit and turned around, when I pulled into the lot, it was dead on 1000. Should have took a pciture of it, it was worth it to see the look on the service manager's face when he noted it on the work order.

I got a 1k and 5k service free from MoCo. After I am done with that, I will probably use an INDY.

Enjoy your coupon and get it serviced as soon as you can. As long as it doesn't void your warranty shouldn't be an issue. I will run over on oil changes sometimes for a couple of hundred miles but I change oils every 2500 miles while using synthetics. I have no warranties to worry about.

Yep, I missed it by 2.8 miles. My warranty is now voided.

I do not think going over much if going to physically damage the motorcycle.
A little story for you, I had a pickup that started to get a lifter tap. I took it in because I had an extended warranty, I always buy them on GM products. The extended warranty company wanted every oil change receipt with the mileage before they would authorize the repair work. I actually had prove that I had the oil changed at the suggested intervals in the contract. Glad I always got my oil changed at Walmart. They printed all of the receipts for me.
Anyway, I would not go over by a lot and make a reference about when you made the appointment, just in case something happens to the motor.

I just bought an Ultra Limited and didn't get a free 1K service coupon.

I protest!

OH, and wanted to add that I was told HD had to pull the service or in invalidated the warranty. No ****, that's what they told me.

Ask them to have their legal department to look up the Magnuson & Moss Federal statue regarding warranty. They can not make you take it to that particular dealer for service and it will not void your warranty. Or just google magnuson moss statue.
