Wrapped the pipes

Wrapped the pipes
I've had the same Big Shots for about 8 years. I love them, but I wanted to change the look. The problem was that the bike runs and sounds great, so I didn't want to spend a small fortune and end up with something that might look good but disappointed me every other way. I finally decided to put black header wrap on my existing Big Shots. I was a little nervous about it because of the spot where the pipes are joined in the middle, but I worked around it and love it.

They don't sound any different. They smell though. I'm glad I read a lot on it before I did it. They smell and they smoked profusely at my first red light after about 5 miles of riding. I looked down and there was smoke pouring out everywhere. I was waiting for one of the cage drivers surrounding me to express concern, but nobody said a thing. They're done smoking, but they still smell a little. I imagine that will subside after a while.
