Tweaking Handle Bars
It seems like no matter what type I get, my mini-apes cause my wrists to crimp in when they are adjusted to the right height and distance. I'm going to see if I can get my indy to bend them out about 5° to straighten out my wrists. Anyone ever done that before? Any big deal? Seems like you'd want to heat them before bending but I'm a surveyor, not a metallurgist.
Ideas?
97 Dyna Wide Glide by the way. Thanks.

yep! i have done it... i made a clamp that locked them into the vice, got some pipe that fits over the bar to act as my lever, had a buddy use a torch to heat it up a bit, and bent it. would take measurements to make sure that the pull back was the same for both sides. customer has had them on his bike for 3 years now no problems

Thanks - I'll see what the shop has to say about it.
