Completely disgusted with this! They make the engines there but that's what makes our bikes go. Personally, I'm just tired of companies saying to hell with history or the folks who stand beside you. That's like only supporting your military when it's winning! It's your family, brothers and sisters. We pay enough for them, someone should get paid descent wages to build them!

I see it as a viscious downward cycle in good paying jobs in this country. Pretty soon no one will have the disposable income required to buy a new Ultra. OOOPS! escuse me, that happened 1 1/2 years ago. You reap what you sow.

maybe if they move down south, they will seriously consider water cooling due to the heat. what harm would water cooling do? eliminate cat. converters and all the heat? could be the same motor with a water jacket around it...should still sound and feel the same. no unions-toyota built a plant in san antonio...the people are happy with the jobs. pays way more than most jobs in the south. unions have out lived their usefullness...keep the jobs in america.

I think they should look at relocating to Sturgis . ..if I remember right SD has a zero corp tax rate. (at least they did when they enticed CitiGroup to move there)

Give people ANOTHER reason to go to Sturgis AND I know that the people out there would love the jobs.

The 110 anniversary will most likely be in Beijing, Mexico City or New Dehli...

I want one of those outrageous paying jobs. Hell, those line workers must be making 150k plus a year. Can you imagine what management makes? 300k a year? If I worked there and my job was cut to save money, so some *** clown that makes twice what I did could stay on, I would sell my Harley and never buy another one. Plus if they lower wages like they really want to do, and make a fortune off the sweat of the working man, they won't be selling bikes to the people that build them.,,

Something like that may well happen. They've got Union issues in Milwaukee and a $22M each quarter ($88M/yr) tax hit in Wisconsin. Sounds like some major incentives to me. Too bad but...

BTW - That tax deal Keithhu posted has changed my mind for me. Tax costs could prompt a total move if MOCO finds a more favorable State to call "Headquarters".

I find it humorous that folks think HD should stay where it and just keep posting losses for loyalty. How many of you work for free? Good businesses need to make a profit to stay in business. Don't think they'd move out of the country, but another state could offer lots better incentives and tax credits. I hope they move to Utah.
