Tomorrow is ride to the capitol in CA. Protesting against sb435, which is smogging motorcycles. This will effect every rider out there!!! If this gets passed here, who knows where else this will pass. Starts at 9...if anyone can ride to Sacramento, CA tomorrow to help in the protest....please go!!!

With the type of nut job politians that you have out there, do you really think a public display of dessention is going to do anything but bolster their attitude?

These politians have illegal people crossing the border, a budget that is so far in the red that you cannot even begin to see daylight and a school system so screwed up due to having to cater to each and every kid in the school yet they are concentrating their time and efforts on more regulations for motorcycles. Actually, the text in SB435 has been completely re-written. It is no longer a smog check bill for motorcycles. It is now a muffler law. It states that any bike built after 1/1/11 cannot have or change to any exhaust system that DOES NOT have a federal epa stamp on it stating the decible level of the muffler. Currently there are no approved aftermarket exhaust systems. Therefore it basically means you are going to keep the stock pipes on your bike!

 

I wouldn't poo-poo Cali so fast, once this crap gets started it spreads. Don't know if there's any way to help the left coast bikers, if you know, post up!!

Sorry, I totally forgot to post the outcome. Its been pushed back til 2013. Although its not saving us, its 2 1/2 years.

 

California is pretty bad and it doesnt seem like its gettin better. Ive been born and raised here and Im sticking to this state.
