we've had record rainfall here the last 2 months....17-18 inches. Flooding is everywhere. Deadwood had 2 foot deep piles of hail today. Check your route to make sure roads are open. My group is leavin friday, we were planning on taking highway 44, but it is closed as of now for about 30 mile stretch near james river due to flooding...rain or shine, the show will go on...ride safe.
The 2 foot piles were from the rain washing hailstones and piling it up....http://keloland.com/NewsDetail6162.cfm?Id=103285

had planned on sleeping in a tent this year, that is till the campground called sat nite and offered us a deal on a cabin for the week. It ain't much, just a bunkhouse w/eletricity and no plumbing but it's better than sleeping on the ground. All I need to bring now is a sleeping bag and a pillow, may still take my 1 man tent in case we go to the chip one nite for a concert.

It's Sturgis (South Dakota) like they say if you don't like the weather wait a few minutes it'll change. Hope it's not like it was last year.

Here's four videos all on one site.

We are staying this year in a house in Deadwood. A few years ago there was a massive mud slide that swept dozens of bikes off their kickstands in a parking lot in Deadwood.

I'll gladly take the rain for you. Send it to Oklahoma, ASAP!!! We're having 105-110 degree heat index for the past couple of weeks, with no end in sight.

I'm from Sheridan and have gone to Sturgis for years. Can't remember a Rally when I didn't get soaking wet and or hailed on. It's the West. Traveled from Cheyenne to Sheridan today and went through four rain storms, one hail storm and one possible tornado.
Typical day on I90.
