Perforated vs Zipped Vent Leather Jacket?
I'm eyeing up a new Perforated Leather jacket with removable water resistant - windproof nylon lining. I've never worn a perforated leather jacket before, how well can I expect this type of jacket to cool/vent in hot weather and keep me warm in cold weather vs. a more traditional leather that has zippered front & rear vents? I expect to wear this jacket in temps ranging from mid 50s to below 80 degrees.

I've got an Alpinestar Alloy jacket, which is a perforated leather jacket...It breathes quite well, even with me riding a bike with a fairing..It all depends on how the inner mesh lining is, some work great (Alpinestar Alloy) and some are just terrible (no name mesh jacket)....I have had some mesh jackets not breath as well as this Alpinestar...
For the temp range you will be fine, typically I will add a thermal when it gets down in the low 50's and upper 40's other than that, just ride!!

I have a perforated leather jacket, but only wear it during the hot weather. I wouldn't want to deal with a liner in colder weather, it's easier to just switch to a regular heavy leather jacket.
