Go slow no brakes, if so use the back very little.Could be tricky leaving depending on number of cold ones had.

I guess riding on snow is out if you have a hard time riding on gravel.

Thanks, Skratch. I really appreciate this comment.

I don't feel nearly so stupid about this situation following some recent conversations with some friends of mine who ride much more than I do. Almost without exception, every one of them have laid their bikes over or had some bad experience somewhere in South Texas because of the pea gravel construction companies use around here.

South Texas so no snow.

If ice comes, everybody stays home.

Nevermind him! If you drink, you're a douche. If you don't wear ATGATT, you're a douche. And now it seems if you won't ride in the snow, evidently you are also a douche.

roll into the parking lot slow but steady and lay OFF the Front brake. Do not put your feet down until you are almost stopped. this should keep the initial slippage of the boot at a minimum. Pea gravel is the worst, we have wash gravel, crushed limestone and clay gravel in MS as well as pea gravel. hate it all

Short of changing bars and taking my truck instead of the bike, got any tips on how to prevent this in the future?
