Default This dummy figured it out!

I posted yesterday that I couldn't find the gearbox drain plug. I got several sincere replies (and a few snarky ones). I re-examined everything and I found it today!
The plug is on the right side of the tranny. It is a T-40 torx bit. It is NOT where the manual says it is. (or "fix my hog", or dude world, or any or the other pieces of advice I got. )
I removed the plug, drained out the fluid, refilled it and I am good to go!
This will be SO much easier the next time.

Why would the manual be incorrect?

Sorry...1996 Heritage Softail Classic - Evolution engine.

Well, maybe like me you have an aftermarket oil tank. Course, I'm just guessing here.

Could be the tranny was changed by the previous owner. Nice to hear you didn't give up.

Next up: Steering head adjustment and check, tighten spokes.
