maybe it was just a bad batch of gas....or maybe it was the ethanol or whatever the hell that eco friendly **** is....I haven't tried them since so I can't say....but I DO know what gasses my bike does like and I stick with those if I can.
My mustang loved that chevron fuel when I drive it thru BC. Mohawk and husky only have ethanol polluted fuel so I also avoid then at all costs.
Co-op here isn't bad and I like shell too. My mustang runs much better in shell fuel

Default Methyl Vs. Iso

Methanol is a common (used to be) ingrediant used in gasoline additives and used to be the main ingrediant in dry gas. Methanol is methyl alcohol. Because of newer fuel systems with injection, the o-rings and seals are sensitive to methyl alcohol and isopropyl alcohol is now the preferred additive.

Methanol is used in washer fluid and dry gas. Due to toxicity a lot of companies are switching the methanol to isopropyl alcohol in washer fluid.

Whether you have ethanol in the gas you use is dependent on where you live. If you live near a large city, or in a populous state (NJ, FL, CA) the EPA dictates the gas must be oxygenated, most often by ethanol because of the tax breaks.

It might just be my math but you can't blend 87 & 97 to get 93 octane.

Just sayin.

LOL, it's your math. It's not a 50-50 ratio.
