Got stopped by a VT state trooper today on Route 9 near hogback mountain. He stopped me for and issued a written warning for a non-dot approved helmet.

 

That's pretty lame. Must have been a slow day in Green Mountains! Can't wait to ride up there!

I have been wearing a novelty helmet for the last 20 years. Never been stopped for it.

Why wear one? It sure beats wearing a DOT helmet. And yes I tested it myself. Hit the concrete at 70 mph with it last year.
