I see a ton of people are going this year to Sturgis for the first time.
I'm curious... if you are going to Sturgis this year, how many times have you been there... This will be my fifth Sturgis...

 

0, and not going this year.
Maybe I'll make it out there next year. I'm thinking May or September would be good.

 

Have not made it yet,planning on taking my vacation next year there though....

 

We've never gone yet. The kid gets his DL this year so once he can get himself around and we trust him enough to not burn the house down or knock the neighbors daughter up, we'll load up and head to the Chip!

 

Been 11 or 12 times, but don't go every year. Avoid anniversary years (too crowded). Still a few things out there I haven't done yet, so will go back again.

Would have gone last year but a deer running in front of the bike in the spring of that year, with resulting accident, cancelled that plan.

 

For 17 years it was exactly 300 miles from my garage to our campground in Sturgis. Since I moved three years ago, I haven't made it back. Came damn close this year, but next year for sure.

I'll say this....I don't care:

-how much the beer is
-how hot it is
-how crowded it is
-how much tshirts cost
-how much better it was back in the day
-etc, etc, etc....

Compared to all these other "vendor fair" bs "rallies", Sturgis is still the best.

Used to think I'd like to go someday, but the more I hear about it, the more I think it's not really for me.

I might be wrong, and I may end up going some day because my buddies do want to go.

Guess if I never go, I'll never know. I'm good with that.

 

I've been twice, '91 and '96. I'm not so crazy to back to "Sturgis", but I do love the riding in and around the Black Hills!
