Correspondence Driving School Graduation
Did a Correspondence Driving School have a huge graduation recently? Is it just me or are the roads just chock full of .... people that don't know basic skills? I mean, they've always been there; but now, they're EVERYWHERE.
Stopping at Yield signs, yielding at Stop signs, stopping at imaginary Stop signs - I could go on - Has my Road Rage finally taken over or is this really happening???

I live in an area of the state that is mostly agricultural and as a consequence we have a large population of ummmmm visitors. Most of us have learned the written and unwritten rules of the road from our parents and our own experience. These people can't seem to grasp the concept of a stop sign and odds are that if an accident occurs the occupants of the other car are going to bail and run. The purpose of a freeway entrance ramp is also incomprehensible to a lot of them and 25 mph seems to be a pretty good speed to merge with 70 mph traffic leaving you hung out behind them. I try not to get anywhere near them if I can avoid it. Oh yeah, best to keep your uninsured motorist policy up to date too.

I get the correspondence school joke, but I actually wish some of the drivers around here would do that. It's got to be better than the lack of training they have now. Apparently common sense isn't so common.

Every summer, parents everywhere are reluctantly putting their children out on the roadways. Every fall I notice lots of teeny bopper accidents on my way to work. Nine out of ten are young girls in their new to them little cars. It looks to me that they possess this I'm greater than thou attitude that we should all give them the right of way just because. Reason being, they all have turned into somebody's way and got hit! Awwwww! They'll learn......maybe!
