They are steeling my bike!!!!!!!
About 4 months ago i sold my sportster and wanted to get a big bike. I went to many dealers, looked through weeks of news paper ads, search e-bay and Craigs List. Finally i found one i liked on Craigs list. A 2002 Heritage classic with lots of chrome and only 10K miles. It was at a used car dealer on consignment, he wanted $14,000 out the door, tax, tags, everything. I thought it was a fair deal so i bought it, road it home, and spent hours washing and polishing it, I loved, It looked and ran great. After 6 weeks I still didn't get the registration or title so i called the dealer and he wasn't answering his phone. Then i went down to see him but he went out of business, DAM. So i went to the DMV and asked them where my title is. They said that the title and registration was never applied for. I spoke to the DMV detective and he said he'll look into it, but in the mean time I'll have to apply for a temporary extension. Next week i talked to the detective again and he said the dealer did this to a few people and he turned the case over to the City detective who is already working on the case for a few other poor suckers. Finally after about 3 months the city detective sent me a letter say the " owner of the bike won't sign over the title until i pay for it" ????? DAM I gave the dealer $14K. I called the detective for over 2 days now, he doesn't answer his phone either, so i left a message saying "AM I OUT THE BIKE AND THE $14K"????????????? I'm retired and don't have a large income, I'm so pissed for being so stupid. double dam.

RE: They are steeling my bike!!!!!!!
Same scam was pulled here a few months ago. The dealer was sellin cars but wasnt paying off the cars that the bank was holdin the titles too. Long story short the dealer left town with a chunk of cash and left owing two banks more the $500'000.00. The people that bought cars has no title and the banks are rounding the cars up as collateral.

Ya, i'll have to call a lawyer tomorrow. I don't really understand, i have all the paper work,
bill of sale, The Dealer Temporary Registration, The Dealer Plate Affidavit, The Dealer We Owe form, The Dealer Vehicle Purchase Order Form, The Dealer Secure Odometer Disclosure Form from the ADOT web site.
The Dealer Buyers Guide Warranty. The seller must have sign papers also with the dealer, Is his papers binding? why isn't my papers binding too? Why am i the one who is out? How do i know the seller and dealer aren't working together to scam me?

You also may want to talk to the DMV detec tive and your lawyer and find out if the seller had to sign his title over to the dealership for a consignment vehicle. I know in alot of states that dealerships must hold the title on site to sale a vehicle. Ir at least have POT.
What was the car lots name? The guys name you dealt with? where was the car lot at?

IF the dealer didn't have the title that proves it was a scam to start with, he had to know it was against the law.
the car lots name is "INFRONT AUTO CO" on 13001 N. Cave Creek Rd. Phoenix AZ. 85022.
Their phone number was 602-992-0793 and the salesman that sold the bike was Michael Duffy.

I just read the reports on US auto management. I just got back from the office in phoenix az on cave creek rd. I too have been duped by this company. I originally heard an advertisement on the radio and then called for more info. I also did a BBB check and saw they were satisfactory with previous complaints. I decided to take my car in Aug 2004. It was gone the next day. The salesperson name was mark bezerjan. The first payment was not due until Sept 2004, b/c I had paid ahead.
My payments were sent to me for the next 3 months, until Jan 2005. I had tried to call them mx times and left messages, but had not gotten an answer. I tried to call the other stores, Now called Auto Payment solutions, but had gotten the run-around. I called one day and got the new owner Dan Townsley on the phone. He told me that the car had been turned in and a new owner was taking it out "as we speak." I thought i would get my payment before the due date. WRONG!!
I went into the store today, fed-up with the games and lies and wanted to meet with the owner. The secretary, who doesn't know what she is talking about tried to get me to set an appt. I wouldn't leave since I drove 45-mins to get there. She called him on the phone and they wanted me to set an appt later. I refused to leave until I got a payment.
He tried to explain to me that the store name had changed and he had nothing to do with them. He was also rude and sarcastic when he said that I asked to get someone into my car and assume payments. I had no idea the company had changed nor the permissive user had defaulted. I feel that thet should have gone after the permissive user for missed payment and late fee and US AUTO pay me for my lease payment. Unsatisfied, I told them I will pursue small claims/lawyers.
I found out two weeks ago that their license was revoked by the BBB in Jan 2005 for" failure to respond to complaints fowarded by the Bureau." I was directed by the BBB to call the Corporation COmmison, which regulates these types of businesses. They informed me that they filed for articles of termination as of Jan 2005.
The owner dan townsley lied and told me he did not own this company before, he did(glendale office). He told me that I am responsible for payment. WRONG. US AUto/Auto payment solutions and the previous permissive user are. The owner stated that if he were to make a payment for my car lease for jan 2005, he would assume liable. YOU ARE LIABLE as a broker and new owner. You assume all responsibilities and liabilities of the company you bought and all the contracts. I have never received a phone call, letter, anything saying the company was sold,of a new owner, or anything.
I wish I had read these previous e-mails prior to doing business with US AUTO MANAGEMENT AND AUTO PAYMENT SOLUTIONS.
