+1 yup.. The fact is sound travels faster than our bikes and,.. since some of th frequencies the bikes produce are omni directional....The sound travels out in front of the bike,.... around 750mph faster than your bike. That is why you can hear him from several blocks away.. Or at night, you can hear a loud truck/bike/car from a long ways off (sometimes a couple of miles).

I ran stock on my last bike (new in 08') had several close calls. Haven't had much problems since I changed the pipes out.
