i love loud pipes, on my bike, in my trucks, in my old cars, but only so much as to not hurt performance. stock pipes restrict performance open drags kill street performance, gotta find the happy medium where BCT monster baffles or rather my home made version comes in a set of them in drags and you get the rumble and roar with minimal mid/low range losses. of course in my truck big pipe wide open is best for the diesel keeps the EGT's down low

If it's too loud, you're too old.

Vance and Hines make a quiet baffle that will deepen the tone and with a name like goobernogin, yes, you are crazy.

Never going back to stock. I could barely hear the bike. I dont think mine are loud when I ride but hearing anyone else ride her they are loud as hell and I like it that way.

Quiet Harley's are almost un American.

Age has nothing to do with it. I'm 63.

Why not try some new baffles for your existing pipes,it may save money and some time too!

i remember the day i picked up my bike, they fired it up, and i was like WTF is wrong with this bike?!? sounds like a broken sewing machine! I told them to take the damn thing back and bring out the HARLEY i ordered!

BTW, I have seen quite a few bikes lately with stock pipes on them, its very weird to see them just humming by and you hear the valve train noise over everything else!

Could not wait to get rid of the stock sound on mine. And mine are not really even all that loud, but stock just did not sound like a Harley to me.
