i'm not one to complain about topics but these boot threads have to stop, there's at least four going on right now in the past few days.
very simple, these threads will get you a recommendation for pretty much every boot ever made since the beginning of time, people will even recommend boots from companies that haven't existed in 60 years. then it will become a debate on USA boots vs. Chinese boots.
you'll leave more confused than ever. just wear any boots that provide support that are comfortable. i use red wing logger boots and they work just fine.

I have to agree. HD products seem to be made b the lowest bidder with the cheapest product available. There are a few forums here that discuss boots. I suggest you use the search engine an type in 'boots', you will like what you find

I can recommend Danner Fort Lewis boots. I dropped my scoot last November and broke the distal tip of my left fibula and they had to put in a plate with screws so that it would mend correctly. I was concerned that any boot that covered my ankle would cause problems with the plate, etc. The Danners give good protection and cushion the ankle as well as provide great traction.

I actually wear my old Airborne Desert boots and bought a pair of Black ones to replace them as they are starting to wear out badly on the soul and dont want to slip and lose the bike at a stop. got them on ebay for like 20 bucks.

I am a monster. I wear size 14WWW. It's hard for me to find any clothing. I found a company called, I believe, Ridgewear Boots. I have had a pair of their "Tactical" boots for a long time and no complaints. Yes, they are black and lightweight for their size.
