You checked your plugs- how do they look?

 

johnd5412, fraid I don't have any sort of diagnostic tool. I can see a purchase of one in the future.

nevil, I haven't pulled the plugs yet. That's going to have to wait until tomorrow; anything specifically I should be looking for?

you might be geting a lack of oil to your cylinders and could be scored by thr pistons

 

Now I see that you only checked the plugs for tightness. Start with the simple things first. If your pipes are wet then one or both plugs probably are also wet or oily. Are they wet or dry? Do they both look the same? You should keep a spare set or two around, anyway.

You don't need a diagnostic tool, there is a built-in system using your odometer button. Here's a link that explains it:
