Here's one... How many think the CVO bikes are worth the money?

I think they are worth the money if what they offer is exactly what you're looking for. If there is very little left you would want to change. If it's too distant from what you want, you're better off buying a standard model and modifying it. At least that way you make it your own. Personally, the new `07's with the big 110" motor have much more appeal than they have in the past. I'd jump on the SE Dyna or Springer in a heartbeat if money were no object.
In the end I'll probably be happier with my Bob, once I'm finished with it. Or at least closer to it.

I have owned, & sold, two of them, a 2000 Road Glide and an 04 SEEG. They were both well worth the money and I did well when I sold both of them.... They have certainly held their value and are a blast to ride..
At the risk of sounding like a snob,
I have been spending a lot of time on the Mustang forums in the last two weeks and there is an abundance of Shelby bashing going on there. I see a parallel here. I think it's mostly by guys who can't afford the premiuum price. They are a great car, or bike. If you don't want one fine, but let those who do enjoy em...

Part of the fun for me when making a purchase is that I've gotten a good deal.
So it's not about that I couldn't afford it... I could have. But 40K puts a dent in anyone's finances when it's on a purely fun item. I thank all who offered their honest opinion!
I think after reading all the posts... I'd have to agree it's worth the money as long as you're comfortable throwing that much into a motorcycle. Mainly because of the resale value holding well and the factory warranty. One reason I asked was I think the parts are GROSSLY over priced. Harley makes a killing on chrome, engine and other post sale addons.
Cuz they know we are in love with em.
