My first bike was a 1969 Norton Commando Roadster. 750 cc and I put 8 inch over tubes on it. Found out by accident, it was a great wheelie machine. Took the boat tail off and rattle canned it flat black. Just so the Harley guys wouldn't make too much fun of it.,,

My first bike was a 97 Yamaha V-Star Classic 650. Nothing to special, but a decent riding bike. Wasn't the best ride on the highway so I never took it any trips, mainly riding around town.

I didn't think this one counted. my dad baught my two brothers a bke each (a bulltaco and a yamaha 250 dirt bikes). one day while the folks were gone (normaly they were) my brother was realy hungry and I had cooked some rice. (i was the only one of us kids that could cook) he traded me his bulltaco 250 pursang (once raced by tod sloan) for a bowl of rice. I mixed what I thought was oil and gas and rode it all day. it ran like a bat out of hell. as i was just about 100 ft from the house it siezed up. I read the 1 gallon tin can of what I thought was oil and it ended up being paint thinner. I felt so bad I gave it back to my brother. as it turns out the clutch bolts loosened up and ground themselves into the side casing. my dad, being a welder, knew how to weld cast alluminum. this was in the early 1970's. he used a nickle based rod and struck an arc off a palte of brass and fixed it.

1963 Honda Super 90. I practically lived on that thing for the next two years. Even then, when I was only 13, I couldn't leave it alone. I removed the front fender and used a chrome tube from my mother's vaccuum cleaner to replace the muffler. It fit perfectly.

First bike was a Suzuki 425. Had six speed gearbox which means it was totally gutless. Folks called it a "mid-range cruising bike" back in the days when 750cc was the largest engine made. Waayyy back!

Had a few years of not riding then got a nice Harley Superglide, ran that around for a few years then got an Electra Glide Classic back in '89 new off the showroom floor. Ran that around Texas and the East Coast until the First Persian Gulf War (August, '90 for me). Girl I was married to at the time sold it when I was off chewing sand in the Middle East. We didn't stay married long after that. Go figure!

Now riding an Ultra Limited.
