Skid Lid....NO THANX..I've owned several different brands on half helmets and they all choke me at freeway speeds..all of em'/every brand. And IMO..the Skid Lids let me tell you look like $hit/mushroom head for sure...and yes i've owned a ACC half lid also...hated it and was very happy to get my money back too. I'm a 3/4 lid guy now. Something about wearing a lid and not pulling back on my head/wind in my face that i like....and i dont like FF lids either unless im on a crotch rocket. I actually was thinking about getting a polo non-DOT from Headtrip but memories of throat choke turned me off. So i went with thier 3/4 lid....believe me i've owned several types/brands of lids...Thanx...

Well my new HeadTrip by Composite Craft 3/4 lid arrived today and man i like it. Very light weight and comfy. Here's some pics of the lid, and also one compared to one of my biltwells. So you all get a size difference. Both lids are non-DOT....

Thats a valuable picture. My biltwell was swiped, so I'm in the market for a new helmet. This may be an option. I'm currently bidding on a Buco from the 70's thats on ebay, but theres allot to be said about a brand new helmet....DOT or not. And I totally agree with you about the 3/4 philosophy. Theres no other helmet for me no a days.

Hi I'm looking to buy one of these and have a couple questions for the guys that own them:

Are they one size fits all?

Do they have 1/2" ensolite foam liner and pads to adjust fit?

I've read that the previous non dot acc helmet passed every dot test but the spear dropped from above, are these helmets of the same construction?

Also I can't access your pics for some reason can someone post one of them wearing the helmet?

Thank you
John

LOL... I called them 3 to 4 months ago. Inquired about their helmets and asked what happened and why ACC went **** up. The guy explained everything. They gotta be the same folks.

Despite my disdain for ACC, I sold out and ordered a novelty half today. I'll post up impressions when I get it.
