Do you operate you clutch and front brake cross handed? Interesting!!!

To the OP. Good save! I also ride with my fingers over both levers. Just yesterday, I was wondering if I was the only idiot out there who did this. Just as you, years of experience and history of saves is just what it takes to keep us alive.
Some people should not do either, riding or driving. Everyone thinks it's their "Right" to drive, but all the States promote that it is a privilege. You sure couldn't tell that by the way they dole out licenses to these idiots who cannot drive safely or respectably. It's my hope and dream that one day their will be comprehensive testing before any license is given. I hear the U.K. has the hardest driving tests in the world. We could adapt that and probably eliminate half of the drivers currently on the road over here.

And to the ord sarg. I'm sorry for you that you don't know your left from your right. Riding is a real challenge for some. Staying alive on one is even harder.
Sell while your still.......Oh wait, I take that back!

When I took my MSF course years ago I was reprimanded for having a finger on the brake and clutch lever. This was after years of riding and the instructers new I had rode for years. What they explained to me is if you get accustom to riding with one finger on the lever you will not get your whole hand on the lever when you need to to give it adequate pull. That has bounced 'round in my head for years. I still find myself with one finger up every once in a while.

I usually have a finger or two around the handle, kind of force of habit. Seems to be good to me.
