.... Lately, in SoCal, land of the SuperIdiots, we've got a new breed of cage driver that only stops when they have to. They'll hit the intersection at 15-20 mph and only stop, because they have to, otherwise, they'll blow right through it. We've also got an increasing number of 'Red Light' and 'Stop Sign' Runners as well, so no love there either....!
Oh Hell that's right!! I forgot that it's cause all the Californicators are moving up here.

I have to agree here. I don't trust anyone in a car anymore. So, if he would have locked up his brakes to avoid hitting the person who was pulling out in front of him would that have been giving them a signal to pull the rest of the way out?
I've "almost" been hit so many times this summer compared to previous summers it's hard for me to believe. I blame a lot of it on idiots and cell phone use. If I see someone with a cell phone pressed to their ear I just start slowing down to avoid the inevitable. I've owned a Harley since 1977 and had many other bikes prior to that. I've been riding motorcycles since I was eight years old. It's getting worse, not better.

You hit the nail on the head. We've always had idiots, but then added idiots talking on cell phones, and even worse, texting, while driving. I try to keep a large buffer zone between them and my bike or truck if I see them in time. Defensive driving/riding is getting tougher every day.

Here in the land of the SuperDuper idiots (trust me, here in the DC, Md and Va metro, it's just as bad as Cali), you must remind yourself every time you ride, no matter how short the distance...do not trust anyone, ever.

What has really surprised me is that if I point my Index Finger (That would NOT be the middle one) at a STUPID driver they react just like their Mommy caught them with their fingers in the proverbial Cookie Jar. It's a riot to watch their reaction . . . No Reaction? Change Fingers . . . .

No Reaction ? Then drop the thumb like a hammer
Seems like everyone's on a big Azz hurry nowadays with there ear glued to a phone .
The younger ones that are prolly more apt to text have yet to see enough death and destruction
to know what treacherous grounds they tread on.
Yup it sure seems more dangerous than ever lately , good thing I have some county backroads close by
to clear my mind , even then I'll pick my when and where's.
Anybody ever figure out how to Jazz up a cell phone blocker/jammer I'm on it.
Prolly a little more to it than say puttin a linear on a CB.
