HP 100+ Torque 100+ How do you hang on?
#21
That's super funny...My ole CBR had 160 horse and did more than 250mph (I never had the ***** to do over 200). I could easily pull the front wheel off the ground at 100.
My little scoot now has about the same torque at the rear wheel as yours...you should try holding on without a windshield! Seriously, have fun.

I don't get it. My 2010 Ultra dyno'd in at HP 70.68 Torque 83.95. First and second gear I am shifting as fast as I can. By third I am exceeding all speed limits and fourth starts getting scary. That leaves fifth and sixth to do who knows what with. What the heck are you guys doing with over 100/100? How do you hang on to that much power and torque? Are you all crazy?
Understand that your bike probably redlines at 5.5k rpm, and your engine is probably falling flat around then, if not before (I don't know your engine mods or exhaust). Your gearing is very tall so that your engine can have lower rpms at higher speeds. That also means that your 70.68 hp isn't accelerating your bike as fast as a sportsbike making 70hp, because they'll have a mechanical advantage. Your low rpms also mean, that even with this tall gearing, you're still probably shifting our of first before 30mph (again, I don't know exactly where your engine falls flat), that means your giving up even more mechanical advantage (by shifting to second) even earlier, it also means that your racing to shift more.
By contrast, a high-revving engine, even though it's geared lower (more mechanical advantage) will allow you to stay in gear longer. Even my Nightrod hits peak HP (no clutch) in first gear right around 60mph, so I'm not "racing" through the gears like you are.

What did your buddy do, go back and meet the leo half way? Or was the leo a helicopter?
