Would you paint an anniversary edition?

I've got an 03 silver and black Road Glide. I've had it for over a year and so far it's the only silver and black anniversary Road Glide I have seen. I wouldn't think of painting mine. But whatever floats yer boat.

If it was the 100th I'd say no, but the 105th colors dealers around here had a hard time selling. My dealer still has a 105th wide glide that they got permission to repaint black in an attempt to sell it.

I had mine painted about 6 weeks after I bought it, but stayed with the same colors.
The '08 Wide Glide was only available in the anniversary colors - and I wanted a Wide Glide.
Resale doesn't matter to me, the bike has 88K miles on it.
Using the same colors, I think leaving the tank badges on worked out well.

Hey partner, you bought your bike the way it was for a reason! You've got a beautiful bike. I agree with the prior posts...buy some other tins and paint those, tuck the coppers away for that rainy day. No need to hurry on buying the new tins, take your time and keep on riding in the mean time! Good luck!

I've known a bunch of guys who've traded and sold anniversary bikes, and bought them used...
Don't know a single one who got more or paid more for the paint...

BINGO!!....I have a 100th anniversary...and except for the miles....damned near showroom condition (and I do have all the stock parts) so if I were to put all the stock parts back on it I would only get the blue book value for it which, as of this moment, is sitting at about $10,000 CDN and that's on a trade in. I would probably be able to get more privately but not much more I wouldn't think. Therefore, I'm gonna paint mine too and get ride of that fugly *** grey stripe.

To be honest I'm not crazy about the 100th anniversary paint (as someone else said, with the gray stripe) or the 105th anniversary paint. But, if you can afford it, it might not be a bad idea to keep the tins. I, personally, couldn't afford it and wouldn't miss the paint scheme at all.
