why I don't ride with a gun
Last night, on the way to Jackass Flats in Dayton, was riding down 201 and saw a semi sized dump truck with a big *** loader on a trailer. I slowed down, he just sat there, so I started to speed up and the idiot pulled right out. All sorts of crap coming off the trailer, so I gave him a salute, and backed off. Little further up the road (I noticed he kept watching me in the mirrors), it splits into 2 lanes. Well, he then decides to ride both lanes and finally got over.
It always amazes me that if someone pulls out in front of you, it's somehow your fault.

I hope this doesn't turn into a "what I would have done' thread. Getting cut off is a **** thing and I think it happens to us all at one time or another.
Now, if I had been packing, I'd have pulled up along side of him, shot out every tire on the driver's side and laughed as the truck skidded off the road and into a ditch. Oh crap, I guess I just turned this into a "what I would have done" thread. Sorry.

I'd have pulled up along side the cab, set the cruise control on my decker, jumped up and stood on the seat, reached in his window and punched him right on the nose! then I'd have pulled out my .38 Special and aimed it at his knee cap and yelled "You'd better watch out mister! the next motorcycle enthusiast you pull out in front of may not be as nice as me" !!!!!!!! Then I'd hop back down and ride away giving him the finger!
That'll teach that so-in-so.......

Getting cut off on a bike sucks.
I realize that its most often because a driver is distracted and thinking about two or three other things, but its amazing how they seem to sit there and wait, and wait, until you're within 30 yards of their vehicle (or less) and THEN they suddenly pull out in front of you. You want to think its just dumbassery, but it comes across as deliberate.
And its weird how consistently this happens. Watch those front tires!
Ride like everyone else out on the road is trying to kill you....

Be careful. Remember that old movie Duel with Dennis Weaver.
