Default Removing burned Skin/hair from pipes?

I noticed that ont the bike that I just bought, that there is some gurry of sorts stuck to the pipes in the general area of where the right leg straddles the bike. I am assuming that someone touched thee pipes with their leg while hot, and what i see is the remains of skin and hair...its not a huge deal, verly slight, but I can't get it off for the life of me...even with chrome polish...any suggestions? has anyone had this issue? Thanks

I have used a very fine steel wool to get boot marks and other stuff off of my pipes without scratching them or causing any damage.

Or for easy off heat the pipes up spray on a rag away from the bike and wipe pipes. 0000 steel wool works too.
