Default Is the price a lot?

Hi Folks... I just wanted to get your opinion about the price for my bike. I am buying a 2010 night rod special w/ abs. Dealer wanted 19000 OTD for it. Considering that 2011s are almost out, I convinced him to give it to me for 17800 out the door. Is that a lot? What are your thoughts?

Thanks for any info!!

I think it depends on your financial situation, being a poor boy, to me it sounds like alot. If you're happy with the deal and its what you want, then all is good. No matter what, a week after you get it, you'll find it cheaper somewhere else, murphy's law.

It is a great deal if:
you called 10 other dealers, told them which model you want, told them which offer you had and they said they couldn't do better for you.
How far can you drive to save $1000? $2000? Up to you.

They start at $16,700 so I guess it depends on your sales tax, dealer set-up and delivery and doc fees. Our tax here in CA is almost 10% so that would add about $1600 to the cost of the bike.

No matter what you buy, like 1skrewsloose said, in a week you'll find a better deal.

look for a low mile used one, they are great bikes but dont hold their value.
