Is the price a lot?

I think that's a bit too much for a DX, I got a 09 F back in april for 16.3k OTD. Either that dealer has V-Rods flying out the door or they're trying to make easy money off of you. Shop around, find a deal. Look at used DX's, V-Rods in general resale is crap. You can get a real low mileage ride on the dirt cheap.

Unless money isn't an issue, buy used. I bought a 2005 vrod se new for 24,500, put about 2500 additional into it, rode it for 3500 miles sold it for 16,500 a year later. great buy for the guy, not so much for me. I think with patience one can find a great buy for about 60% of the new on a really new bike. If you go back three years there are some really good buys.

Street value for a 2010 VSRCDX is currently around $16k. Wait until next month, after the 2011s have been announced and that value will be around $14.5k. Harley doesn't want to recognize it, but V-Rods depreciate like metrics. Be glad you bought a different bike, whatever it is.

look for a low mile used one, they are great bikes but dont hold their value.

well i did get a night rod... 2010 paid 17800 out the door (includes tax, tax and license) it also has ABS on it. I do realize it will go down a lot... but nobody else in the area had it. Even for this one, I am driving 2 hrs away to get it.
