Why I Ride...A poem, by me
Why I Ride
I ride for simple pleasure
Now and then I do measure
As I ride I feel as though I have wings
Sometimes I float when I fly
Other times I zoom on by
Or take a leisurely stroll
As if I knew why
I get a feeling down deep inside
It's time to ride
It overwhelms me so
But alas I cannot decide
No matter though
I just get on my bike and ride
Now and then I do measure
As I ride I feel as though I have wings
Sometimes I float when I fly
Other times I zoom on by
Or take a leisurely stroll
As if I knew why
I get a feeling down deep inside
It's time to ride
It overwhelms me so
But alas I cannot decide
No matter though
I just get on my bike and ride
When I ride in the city
I dislike the dodging of cars
I'd rather ride my Harley to the desert
And gaze in wonder at all the stars
I dislike the dodging of cars
I'd rather ride my Harley to the desert
And gaze in wonder at all the stars
Riding is a personal plight
To be savored with all one's might
Riding is strong and full of life
When I ride my Harley there is no strife
To be savored with all one's might
Riding is strong and full of life
When I ride my Harley there is no strife
Climbing a mountain is extreme
Mine is throwing a leg
Over my V-twin machine
Mine is throwing a leg
Over my V-twin machine
I ride two up
Or I ride single
I ride to lunch
We break bread and mingle
Or I ride single
I ride to lunch
We break bread and mingle
I ride the two lane roads
Or I ride the road that bends
I ride the highways
And ones that have no ends
Or I ride the road that bends
I ride the highways
And ones that have no ends
I ride to the mountains
I ride to the sea
I ride to the valleys and beyond
Why I ride
Is simply to be free
I ride to the sea
I ride to the valleys and beyond
Why I ride
Is simply to be free
