Question Need some opinions on buying a 2010 or wait and see what 2011 has to offer?

Hello Friends, After 5 years waffling about buying a new bike I've decided to sell my '03 Softail Standard and buy new. I've narrowed my decision to two bikes, the Road King Classic (love the leather bags, don't like the lace wheels) and the Street Glide (love the look, don't like the hard bags). Realizing the 2011 models will be in the shops on 07/27, does anyone have any info on the changes in store for the new model year? Is there a significant cost increase? Thanks!

Buy a Street Glide and swap the hard bags for leather bags. That way you'll have the best of both worlds. I've never seen a street Glide with leather bags before but there's always the first time.

I'd wait and check out the 2011 optional 103 ci Road Glide and Road King.

Ya - thats it. A street glide with soft bags.
The road king with solid wheels - well you could trade for street glide type wheels. But a street glide with soft or no bags? Here is one option:

Why wait? I'm sure you could buy a '10 model and get the 103 installed. I've heard that's a common occurrence.

It depends on the deal you could get on a 2010. I bet the dealers will be more motivated to get the 2010s out the door when the 11s come in, so that will give you the benefit of waiting to see what the differences (if any) are.

Unless you're ready to pony up the extra $2k or so for the 103" option, why wait? Same bikes, a few different colors.

I would wait and see if HD expands the current 1% finance promo to other leftover 2010 bikes.

There was brand new 07 Kawasaki 2000 on Ebay for $8200. Interested?
