One advantage to waiting though is if you decide on a 2010 after the 2011's come out you'll be more likely to get a better deal on a 2010. You'll get a better comfort with the RKC but no radio if that's important to you. You could always go the route of the standard RK and put leather bags on too. It would be alot less expensive than doing the same with a SG.

A co-worker here has a 2008 StreetGlide with RK Custom leather bags on it. Yawn.

Hey Friends...Thanks for the info/feedback. Very helpful with good ideas. Hullhorr, you are on the same track I was until my local dealer got in a Red Hot Sunglo Street Glide, very sweet ride. Rocknrod, I think no matter which bike I end up with the product you recommended looks like a must have! BTW, you all have nice rides particulary Redbeard, you may want to get a patent on the big wheel scooter before HD R&D gets there first. Thanks again...Ride safe and free!

I'd think twice about the leather bags unless your willing to have someone install locks on them. Harley's leather bags are non-locking. I hated it so much that I had some locks put on mine but I was nervous as hell when the mechanic stared poking holes in my bags. If you mess up, you're screwed. Harley doesn't sell the locks. You'll have to go after market.

I'd wait until the 11s are out. I was talking with a northern IL dealer about a '10 Fatbob two weeks ago and they were ready to knock $1,600 off right from the get go. I think some dealers still have brand new '09s in stock. People are buying but no where near like 3 years ago. And if they will not deal where you are try SE Wisconsin and northern Il. There are deals out there

Definitly wait for the 2011s. There are a lot of 10s in dealers I have been to and you can compare apples to apples, 11 vs. 10s. the 10's should be onconsiderable sale $1500-$2000 off.

tough question; my answer would be neither. Harleys aren't getting any better..... they're getting worse. I'd buy an 08 or earlier low mileage used Street glide (pre-catalytic) or even better a TC88 with a carb. more power, less electronics, antismog bs......
