the really bad part of that is that the msrp on syn3 is 9.95 per qt. so it looks like the 'little guy' is selling stuff at msrp. the BIG NAME across town is marking stuff up over. so with the 10% off, you probably got it down to around msrp.

yeah, it sucks, but whatcha gonna do? the card was only good at that store so you were kinda stuck. but you could look at it as 'free' parts anyway......

Caveat Emptor is an old Latin saying that means: "Let the buyer beware."

More than one retailer (Dealer) has marked their prices up so that the "Discount" brings the buyer right back to list price (or more). In many cases they do what is called "Double Netting"; Selling price is twice the acquisition price . . . after any supposed "Discounts".

The best Defense is a good Offense. Know what the MoCo List price is before making the purchase . . .

The key there being it's an '09, and the '11 models will soon be out. Smart dealers know that smart customers won't pay full MSRP for a bike that is two years old, even if it's brand new. Why would anyone pay at or near the price of a 2010 or 2011 for a 2009 bike?

I got a deep discount on my new '09 FXD right after the new year, because the dealer knew that if they didn't give a discount on the '09 they'd never sell it.

I have looked at the shirts on the 50% off rack many many times and thought how they are still overpriced. At Wal Mart I can buy a T-shirt from the same factory in China for $7.
