Default Seat question.....

will a seat for a 2000-06 softail duece fit a 07 fatboy. if not what is the difference in the mounting. Is their a simple mod to make it fit or is not worth the hassle.

I am interested in a sweet two up seat, but it is only listed for the Duece for some reason. there is similiar one for the fatboy but its not the same. I figured since they were both a softail they would fit, but i can't get a straight answer or find the info anywhere. when looking a fatboy seat app, it seams to cross back to a duece, but not the other way.

TIA..

07 Fatboy has a 200mm rear tire. The Duece is a 160mm. Seats are not interchangeable. I had the seat in the second pic on my 09 std. It looked like the Goodyear blimp but felt like a couch!

aaaah.. that makes sense then. did the seat lower you at all ? i would like to be a tad lower and the OL wants more *** room.. lol.. not that she has a big ***, far from it, she gets sore from her thigh rubbing on the narrow pillion..

we like how the 2 up part swopes up towards the frt to help keep her in place instead of slowly moving forward into me..

This is the seat I had. My wife loved it. I hated the look. That's why I have the Heritage now & the 06 is all mine

Then.....

Now...before the chrome rocker covers & Cobra headlamp were added

going to a solo seat definitely makes a diff. i like the frt wheel also..

i stripped mine down one day just to see what it looks like.. killer look, but i use mine for daily work transport and then theres the mrs.. it would be nice if the bags had a quick mount/dismount like the backrest..

The bags on the old pic are quick disconnect. So is the windshield & riders backrest. I haven't used them in ages. I have the Mustang pillion in case the Heritage is in the shop or it's down for any time & the wife wants to ride.

the sundowner does lower you from the stock seat. It's very comfy, just not much to look at. Probably moves you up a little too. I've got one, and 2 others. each one has it's likes and dislikes
