This maybe a stupid question. I just put on the new Eyebrow trim rings on the headlight, running lights and turn signals, on my 07 Ultra. It now semms that i am not getting as much light to the road, and my lights dont seem as bright. I got to thinking that the trim rings do stick out a fair ways, could this affect how much light gets to the road ?? THANK-YOU

 

I don't know but would be interested in finding out. I just finished the passing lamps and headlamp on my Dyna and would like to see what other opinons turn up as I haven't ridden at night since the install.

 

Those trim rings don't interfear at all with the beam pattern of the light, they do keep you from seeing as much from the top in the riders position, but as far as whats hitting the road, there is no effect at all.

 

when you install them you need to make sure the reflector around the bulb is back on the trim ring,if you look at the reflector they should be aligned up and down,if they are not put back right the can effect the way your lights shines on the road

 

Simply put ...No they do not affect how much light hits the road and be careful when your installing them as RDKingRider stated !

 

I think my dealer might have installed them incorrectly. I will have them checked. Keep the opinions coming.
