Yes, the color is built in. You can only order from a dealer - no direct orders from Memphis Shades. If you go to a dealer, they can get samples of the colors. They should be able to guide you about which windshield to get.

Beware after a while the color degrades....I had a black one on my last bike and after about 8000 miles it was dark grey from a distance and up close you could see where the color was breaking down inside. MS would do anything about it since it was about 4 years old but like otheres have said, $100 you can just replace the glass...

when i first started reading your post, i thought, holy crap, breaking down after 8000 miles! then i got to the part where you said 4 years old, and figured that wasn't so bad. after that period of time, the windshield could be due for replacement just from all the scratches of being used.......

(but you might want to get out and ride just a little bit more than 2k per year....)
