Default MB tickets

I haven't seen anyone post about the helmet law in Myrtle Beach being revoked. Tickets that were issued during the rally time are being reimbursed. In case anyone had paid a ticket.

Sounds good to me.

Sad that MB has lost a lot of revenue from all that BS they thought was a good idea.

I didn't go this year and I won't be back. I don't go where I'm not wanted.

TI, I'm not trying to change your mind and I am certainly on the fence about it myself but think of it this way. If we allow them to run us out, whose to stop any other town from doing the same thing? Eventually we will not have a place to go for some good clean biker fun. The powers that be are already trying very hard (and apparently succeeding slowly but surely) in forcing us to remove our aftermarket exhausts for the quieter, epa approved stock exhausts. So, giving in and allowing them to win is certainly your choice. Again, I'm not trying to change your mind. Just giving you something to ponder regarding the big picture.

I did go for the day. I avoided the city limits.

Very true. Some stuff is starting here in Canada with noise regulations (pipes). Edmonton just passed a 92 db (at idle) local bylaw. In my home town its starting up also, db levels for pipes. This may have started at MB but its not the end of it. It's too bad for the local business's that lost money, they treated us well and they suffer the consequences.

The big picture is the Murder Beach has raised taxes to cover the revenue lost for the rally. They have also raised taxes to cover the cost of their advertising blitz they hope will bring other tourists to the area.

And the By-pass is a really pleasant way to avoid Myrtle Beach completely while traveling from N. Myrtle to Murrell's.

Let other cities take a look at the lost money around Myrtle and decide if it's worth it.
