Default Helmet Help Please

I recently bought a new helmet (Scorpion exo 200) which is an open face helmet. I have the HD Boom! Audio Communication headset which I installed in my helmet. On the maiden voyage, I thought my ears were going to be CRUSHED into oblivion by the stinking speakers for the headset. They are pretty thick and the padding in my helmet is not so thick. Anyway the configuration is unbearable and 12 miles into my 65 mile ride I had to ditch the helmet altogether.

Now I'm looking for a solution. If I can somehow make this setup work I'm open to that. Otherwise, can anyone recommend a good open face helmet that will work with this Boom! Audio communication headset? I need a fix fast because the wife and I are preparing for a 1500-2000 mile trip in less than a week and we sure want to be able to communicate with each other on the trip.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Hugh

You may have to go to a half helmet with pockets for speakers. Works for me.

I'm certainly willing to look into that possibility. What type of half helmet do you have, and what about these pockets for speakers? Does your helmet come with these pockets or do you have to add them on?

Don't know if anyone cares, but I found a great helmet that works perfectly with my HD comm system. Nice little indentation for the speakers and I can't even tell they are there except when the sweet music is pumping through them. This is a link to the new helmet for any who are interested.

There's nobody in the world I'd rather talk to. Besides, she has to be able to tell me when it's time for a bathroom stop.

The first part is right on. The second part...uhh...a tell-tale tap on the shoulder? And don't these things come with volume controls? Never had one, so I don't know anything about them.
