Windvest
I ordered the 14" Windvest this last Friday and am really excited to get it. Got it from Coolwindshields.com Mark, was who I talked too and said I would really like this shield. Sure hope he is right cause like it's been said many times they are not cheap.

Memphis Shades here for my softail.. Best one that I've tried... Rio Grande model..
Once you put it on I doubt that you will want to take it off.

I've had the 14" for 2 years now, still looks great, works great too.
It's taken 40k miles worth of road trash, rocks, been sand blasted many times and I still can't find a nick in it anywhere.

First off I was a "never have a w/s on my bike" kind of guy. But it is so windy where I live I got tired of getting beat by the wind. They are kind of expensive but imo they are made out of top quality materials and well worth it.
I bought a hd detachable when I bought my 06 FXST and it was horrible. I sold it and got a 16" clear windvest, best mod I have made to the bike. No buffeting, doesn't look fugly, keeps the wind from beating on your chest and the bugs and rocks out of your face and teeth. I really appreciate when I am running into a strong headwind and the wv is taking the beating instead of me.
Also, no eye tearing or wind noise in your ears and I can hear my pipes at 80 MPH like I am sitting at a stop light. I can even hear the tread on my rear tire whine when I lean in corners at 40-50 MPH. That freaked me out at first, couldn't figure out what the hell that noise was! Hope this helps.

Wife has had a couple and currently runs a 14 inch smoked one on her Low Rider - the clear version is nearly impossible to see. She won't ride without it. They are very well made and worth every penny.
