Default High output horn kit vs Howards Horns or rivco trumpets

Have chance at cheap high output horn kit for Softail. Loud? What do people think compared to Howard's Horns or Rivco trumpets. I like the look of the trumpets of the last two but also like the inconspicuous quality of th high output. Any thoughts appreciated!

The HD high output horn is not an air horn. It is just a slightly louder electric horn. It does not belong in the same group with the other horns you mentioned. That is why it seems so cheap. HD's air horn is called the premium air horn. I seems to have a pretty bad rep in this forum.
I just installed a Stebel chrome tuning horn. It sure is loud! So far so good...

For those F'n idiots that think it's more important to text, talk on cell phone, put on make-up,eat their lunch, etc. Sometimes ya gotta grab their attention cause pipes alone are not enough.

Check out the Stebel Nautilis horns on Ebay, black for around 40 bux, chrome 46 bux, and something called "Nova chrome" for 65 bux. There is a thread on the "DIY" forum describing how someone separated the compressor portion from the trumpet section so they could still hide it under the horn cover. These are said to produce 139 decibels, which is louder than the Rivcos and Wolo air horns. I think they are the same horn mentioned above as the Stebel "tuning" horn. They also sell one of these horns, prepackaged, with a chrome or black cover, specifically made to replace a HD horn, can't recall the name.

If you're talking about this HD horn it is the Wolo/Stebel horn made for HD. It's plenty loud as long as you hook it up with a relay.

Also if you notice the wolo & stebel horns have different db ratings. One is measured from 4 feet, the other from 4 inches. They are the same. The Mini Beast & Mini Beast II horns are the Stebel/Wolo's with a nice chrome cover.
